:Purple Mountain Observatory

:Brief
While interning at the sportswear brand Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO), I utilized the skills I had previously learned to design and create graphics for the company. I developed a range of camouflage patterns for PMO, which were later used in all-over prints for the subsequent season. During my time at PMO, I also applied my Clo3D skills to render garments based on patterns provided by the factory. This allowed us to create prototypes for some garments featuring experimental prints.
All of the photos in the gallery showcase camouflage patterns that I painted in Photoshop being applied to the 3L Shell Jacket sold by Purple Mountain.

Rendering garments in Clo3D is a fundamental stage in my practice. It helps me define the look and build the construction using optimal grading to achieve the desired fit and appearance when creating a prototype for wear. Working on the renders at PMO helped me understand how this practice could work in a company setting and allowed me to see both the positives and negatives of the process.
